The Iriki Fumoto Samurai Residences have a history of nearly 800 years. In the Iriki Fumoto area, which has been designated as the Nation's Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, even now the soul of the Samurai is still alive.
At the Samurai Residence from the Middle Ages, you can put on full-scale samurai armor and go for a walk, or experience the tea ceremony at the old Masuda House, which is an important cultural property. Moreover, you will discover other aspects of Japanese culture to enjoy, such as making tatami coasters or making bamboo chopsticks. Experience also making Kagoshima local dishes and sweets.
