Napoleon Rock

Content

Introduction

This oddly shaped rock with a height of 122 meters jutting out into the sea in the Sesenoura area is named "Napoleon Rock" as its side view resembles a significant historical figure from France. The Napoleon Rock has now become the most recognizable landmark after its appearance in some famous Japanese manga like "Dr. Coto's Clinic" and "Kinnikuman II Sei."

It can be seen from the Maenohira Observatory or the Senosenoura area. You can also take the Sightseeing Cruise Kanoko for a close up view of the rock (West Coast route; reservation required).
