A human-shaped stone can be found on the Nishikata coast. Locals believe the stone was a woman waiting for her husband. A must-see sight in Satsumasendai is the breathtaking view of the sun slowly sinking behind the rocks at sunset.
Travel Tips
Aside from Ningyo Stone, the landscape at Nishikata beach is also worth viewing. If the weather is clear and sunny, you may be able to see Koshikishima on the opposite shore from around the rocks.
